Why do we need a separate video service for short videos? How about a group for 15 second video updates?

Tested out using the Zi6 in the car with music playing. The camera seems to have similar stabilization issues to the Flip, but it seems easier to manage just by keeping it in mind and using a steady hand.

Very sensitive audio, for sure. I think the air conditioning might’ve been blowing on the speaker as well. I haven’t had problems like this with audio anywhere except in the car with music on and driving.

Kodak Zi6 Unboxing Video

It’s here! Hot from the manufacturer, I’ve gotten my hands on a Kodak Zi6, otherwise known as “the Flip killer” and WOAH does it ever seem to be a Flip killer so far! :)

I’ll be filming video today and editing after work with more review… I’ve noticed a couple things I want to mention in a more detailed review already. :)

Qik + iPhone Demonstration at New Media Expo

Demonstration at the Qik booth at New Media Expo. The iPhone Qik app looks really amazing, but you have to jailbreak the phone to use it. I’m really close to doing that because I want to live stream on my phone really badly.

Has anyone been using it? Any thoughts, input, reviews after jailbreaking and installing it?

CC Chapman - nme2min Interview #nme

So, Colin and I took on a completely last minute, mega-fun project called 2 Minutes at New Media Expo, and this is one of my favorite two minute interviews featuring C.C. Chapman, whom I convinced to snort vodka with me on Thursday night.

New Media Expo Intro Video

My intro video for the New Media Expo video site. On the very off chance that you don’t know, I am heading out in about 15 minutes to fly to the Expo with the Viddler crew. I’ll be taking video of the Viddler crew and spreading the word about a lot of very cool stuff we’ve done with the site lately (with more to come soon… like my custom video player?).

Podcamp Ohio 2008 Videos

I’m almost done with all of my footage from Podcamp Ohio 2008, and instead of blogging about each video, here are all the clips in a fancy player I created with Viddler’s vidgets.

Not all of the clips will be really interesting if you weren’t there, but a lot of them are fun regardless! :) This was an amazing first time Podcamp, I met a ton of amazing people, and it’s only going to get better for Podcamp Ohio 2. Thanks to everyone who made the event amazing, and I’m hoping to run into some of you at Podcamp Pittsburgh!

Wedding Video Player

I think that all of the wedding video footage is finally edited and up on Viddler, so I’ve created a player with all of the videos, which will also be posted to our wedding/couple site for future viewing. It was an amazing trip, there are 20 separate videos, including the video of the ceremony, and you can hover over the thumbnail images below the player to browse through the titles.

I just went through and watched almost all of them again when I was writing this up… I don’t think Jim and I will top that entire trip for a long, long time. Definitely the best trip I’ve ever taken, with almost every important person in both of our lives there. :) Holy nostalgia, batman…
